Synergie Australia is seeking an experienced Superintendent Representative (AO5) for a respected Queensland Government department delivering major infrastructure and building projects across the state. This is a fixed-term role from 21 July 2025 to 23 January 2026, with a possible extension.
The important parts:
- Pay rate: $68.22 per hour
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 36.25 hours per week
- Location: Rockhampton
- Fixed-term contract with potential for extension
What you will be required to do:
As a Superintendent Representative, you will provide supervisory and operational support on complex construction and engineering contracts. Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing traditional and non-traditional contract administration processes
- Conducting site inspections and managing site meetings
- Issuing variation orders and assessing contractual claims
- Handling contractor requests for information and ensuring compliance with the Building Act
- Supporting the Superintendent in dispute resolution processes
- Implementing and maintaining post-contract evaluation systems
- Communicating effectively with clients and project teams regarding time, cost, and quality
- Contributing to continuous improvement of QA procedures
- Upholding employment equity and workplace health and safety standards
To be successful in the role you will:
- Have strong knowledge of contract administration practices
- Have experience managing government building contracts (highly desirable)
- Demonstrate excellent stakeholder communication and collaboration skills
- Have a sound understanding of contract compliance, reporting, and construction processes
- Be able to manage time, prioritise effectively, and make informed decisions
- Hold full working rights in Australia and have reliable transport
