We’re seeking an organised and proactive Business Support Officer to join a dynamic government team in Brisbane CBD. This contract opportunity sits within the Business Capability Team and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can juggle competing priorities, and communicates with clarity and confidence.
This is more than your average admin role — you'll play a key part in ensuring team operations run smoothly while supporting a range of internal projects and stakeholder needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate team activities and administrative functions
- Manage shared mailboxes and correspondence
- Prepare documents, meeting notes, and reports
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain records
- Support internal projects and team deliverables
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
What You’ll Bring:
Essential Skills:
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities
- Experience supporting multiple stakeholders or teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills
Highly Desirable:
- Previous experience in assistant or executive support roles
- Experience working in government or large-scale organisations
- Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships
- A sharp eye for detail and the ability to work independently
