Synergie Australia is seeking multiple field-based crew members and leading hands for a State Government Department, working on infrastructure projects that directly support regional development and local communities.

The important parts:

• Pay rate starting from $42.96 per hour plus overtime and allowances
• Shifts up to 12 hours per day
• Opportunity to work on unique, community-impacting projects

What you will be required to do:

Depending on your crew placement, you may be involved in:

• Supporting concrete works and repairs, including reading plans and technical data sheets (Concrete Crew)
• Leading timber bridge rehabilitation projects, with carpentry skills and chainsaw operation (Timber Crew – Leading Hand)
• Supervising and assisting with civil maintenance, brush cutting, chainsaw operation, and minor works (General Civil Leading Hand)
• Maintaining accurate site documentation and ensuring safety and productivity across all crews
• Delivering works in line with schedules and technical requirements

To be successful in the role you will:

• Have a strong understanding of safety procedures and a proactive safety mindset
• Work effectively in a team and communicate well with others
• Be willing to travel and work away from home when required
• Be comfortable working outdoors and in physically demanding environments
• Hold or be willing to obtain within 3 months: HR Licence
• White Card
• Have traffic management implementation experience
• Have chainsaw and herbicide tickets (preferred)
• Demonstrate excellent timekeeping, reliability, and leadership skills

Additional role-specific requirements:

• Concrete Crew: Prior experience in concrete repair or placement, ability to read plans/TDS, and site record keeping experience
• Timber Crew – Leading Hand: Carpentry background, timber bridge experience, chainsaw ticket (essential), and proven team leadership
• General Civil Leading Hand: Civil or maintenance background, experience supervising field-based activities, and strong documentation skills
