Synergie are currently seeking experienced and proactive Machine Operators to join a fast-paced and high-performing team in Arndell Park. This opportunity is with a well-established and respected company within the food manufacturing sector offering long-term stability and growth potential.
About the Role:
As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and safe operation of production machinery. Your role will be hands on and fast paced, ensuring all machine functions are carried out smoothly – from tool changes and quality checks to troubleshooting and end of shift handovers.
You will work closely with various internal departments to ensure consistent production output that meets quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate machinery in line with production schedules and performance targets
- Carry out safety start-up procedures, machine set-ups, film/tool changes, and line changeovers
- Conduct regular quality and compliance checks (metal detection, weight, seal integrity, etc.)
- Identify and report faults or performance issues to maintenance
- Liaise with stock controllers and prep teams to ensure timely access to WIP and materials
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards of machinery
- Accurately complete reports including ATP, MPM, iLeader, and shift handovers
- Mentor and buddy-train new machine operators as required
What We're Looking For:
- 1-5 years' experience operating machinery in FMCG or food manufacturing environments
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and quality compliance
- Ability to read and follow SOPs/Work Instructions
- Basic computer skills and experience with manufacturing systems (MES)
- Previous experience in conducting tool changes, troubleshooting and reporting
- Great communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
- Flexible with working hours, including potential weekend and public holiday shifts
- Willingness to train and upskill on new products and equipment
