The important parts:

  • Location: Canning Vale
  • Pay rate: $50-$55 Flat rate
  • Days: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: 6:00am – 3:30pm (OT available depending on work load)

Role

  • Seeking a reliable and motivated Fitter/Mechanic to join our small, dynamic team, ideally someone who values variety in their daily work
  • Experience with, or a keen interest in, mining and earthmoving equipment
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on hydraulic cylinders and a range of heavy-duty mobile equipment components

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform precision mechanical repairs on hydraulic cylinders and drill rig components, including pito assemblies, carousels, and rotary actuators
  • Confidently carry out mechanical assembly with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail

General Requirements

  • Proficient in the use of precision measuring tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and build lists
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Work safely and effectively within a team environment
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace
  • Accurately record time spent on each job
  • Basic welding skills are desirable

Qualifications

  • Trade certification in a mechanical discipline
  • Proven relevant industry experience
  • Hydraulic training (highly regarded)
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, positive attitude
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Current forklift licence
