Weighbridge Operator

The important parts:

• Day shift 6am to 2pm  or Night Shift 8pm to 6am
• $42.98 per hour base rate + Super
• This is a temporary position Monday to Friday with Ongoing Opportunities

What you will be required to do:

The Weighbridge Attendant is responsible for controlling and coordinating waste movement on and off site so that all acceptable waste materials entering or leaving the site are recorded and accounted for.

This role is roster based and you will be servicing all sites in Sydney NSW. As the roster is based on the requirement at the time you may be required for both the day and night shift and the location and times may change each week.

Duties include:

• Weigh and accurately record all incoming and outgoing vehicles.
• Direct traffic coming onto site while monitoring all vehicles entering/leaving the site.
• Providing a high level of customer service while assisting customers with their enquiries.
• Provide a professional service, while maintaining a safe and tidy working area.
• Assist with general administrative duties, answering and directing calls. Use of computer systems to complete the role.
• Complete all records and paperwork accurately, as directed and required. 

To be successful in the role you will have:

• Moderate experience with computers and willingness to learn quickly.
• A mathematical aptitude with high level of attention to detail
• Experience within customer service
• Be a team player who understands the importance of reliability, friendliness and working autonomously.
• Have working rights in Australia
• Have access to reliable transport and ability to get to work
• Demonstrate a positive attitude towards safety and its importance in every role.
• It would be highly desirable to possess a current first aid certificate or willing to get one.
