On Thursday 20th November, Synergie Australia were proud to attend the annual SEEK SARA Awards. These are SEEK’s annual recruitment awards, that celebrate the people and recruitment businesses striving for excellence in the industry.
The awards recognise the dedication and innovation of the recruitment professionals from across Australia, as chosen by a panel of expert judges. It was our pleasure to be shortlisted for two awards this year: Recruitment Leader of the Year for our Director Mike Otty, and Large Recruitment Agency of the Year. As strong as the submissions were, we managed to secure the silver medal for both categories.
At the core of our submissions, the marketing team wrote about the culture evolution of our business: that of bringing two companies together (IPA and Synaco) and rebranding into Synergie Australia.
Regardless of how the chips fell, this acknowledgment is a significant recognition of how our company has come together on the national stage and in response – how we have positively impacted the recruitment landscape in Australia. We have all played a part in building the company we are today, and for that, the SLT thanks everyone in team Synergie Australia for the shift we’ve put in to build to this moment. Long may the energy continue!
Director Mike Otty, who was awarded runner up for Recruitment Leader of the Year, had this to say:
“I’m incredibly proud of the Synergie Australia team for the year they’ve had. We’ve experienced huge company growth backed by a cultural push to launch the Synergie brand in Australia for the first time. It’s a testament to the year we’ve had that the brand has only existed in Australia for a matter of months, and we’ve received the silver medal for Large Recruitment Agency of the Year. As for my recognition, I’m very touched to get the silver, it was a great way to close out a very productive and energetic year. I feel like we’ll be going for a few golds next year!”
Synergie Australia was represented at the event at the Ilumina in Sydney by the majority of the SLT, including Directors Mike Otty and John Alexandrou, GM Brigid Fleming, S&you GM Amber Burgess, GM of Client Solutions Sam Elias, Human Resources Manager Ariane Riehs, Safety Manager Rino Caprioli, and Group Marketing Manager Jamie Kidd.
